Reconnu pour son talent, il promènera sa dégaine lourde et tranquille de film en film, rarement mis en vedette en-dehors des excellents *Bird* (1988) de [Clint Eastwood](https://cinema.krinein.com/biographie-clint-eastwood/) et *Ghost dog* (1999) de Jim Jarmusch.

[Forest Whitaker](https://cinema.krinein.com/biographie-forest-whitaker/) est passé plusieurs fois derrière la caméra, notamment pour le clip *Exhale (Shoop shoop)* de Whitney Houston.
